The kiss controller works quite simply. As the user moves his/her tongues with magnets attached, this creates varying magnetic fields that are used to control games. In the bowling game, players increase the speed of the ball by moving the tongue faster. The video atop this story shows what happened:
Two people do kiss while using the kiss controller, as Hye Yeon Nam demonstrated, in order to control a bowling game. She air-kissed a strange-looking harness to show how it works.
Hye Yeon Nam recognizes that this is an intimate way to play a video game. She feels the kiss controller can be a couple relationship therapy tool that people can do at home. The controller was actually made for a friend's wedding gift. When asked what inspired her to create this device, she stated that she wanted to make the world warmer, sweeter, and better. "I wanted to find a new possibility to play games and figure out how we can use our emotions [in playing]. The more you play this game, the more you care for each other."
